  • Did you Know Kevin Hart is Worth Over $120 Million?

Did you Know Kevin Hart is Worth Over $120 Million?

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart might be vertically challenged, but he is extremely funny and even more extremely loaded with cash. Did you know that the Jumanji star is worth at least $120? And that was back in 2017! He is said to have earned a further $57 million this year.

It’s one thing to be funny, handsome and charismatic, but to be both an actor and a comedian at the same time and be worth over $100 million, he joins a select few such as Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, and Adam Sandler, who turned their standup act into a major acting gig.

Kevin Hart – From Standup Comedy to Hollywood

When Kevin Hart first made his big mark on mainstream America back in 2008 with his I’m a Grown Little Man comedy special, who would’ve thought that the comic would take Hollywood by storm.

His on-screen chemistry with ‘The Rock’ Dwayne Johnson has been nothing short of monumental and could be compared to the comic-actor duo of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor back in the 1980s. Johnson and Hart have worked together in the ultra-funny Central Intelligence and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and have wowed crowds with their combined charisma and natural comedic timing.

Hart as also starred in a myriad of other movie titles such as the cocky promotor in Grudge Match, Scary Movie 3, The Little Fockers, The Secret Life of Pets and many more.

Not many have made the transition from small stand-up comedy crowds to the big screen at the movie theater quite like Kevin Hart.

Kevin Hart Has Made a Fortune in 2018

It is widely reported that the comedian and movie star had a net worth of over $120 million back at the end of 2017, which really is a monumental figure. However, 2018 has also been a fantastic year for Hart.

The funnyman has reportedly been laughing to the bank in 2018 and although we are not quite finished for the year, it seems that Kevin Hart has managed to rack up $57 million this year, reported by Forbes, making him the 39th highest earning celebrity in the past 12-months.

Hart’s new tour, The Irresponsible Tour, has apparently sold over 1-million tickets this year and has earned him in the region of $30 million. The remake of Jumanji also grossed over $1 billion across the world this year, which would’ve also topped up his cash coffers.

What’s next for Kevin Hart? It seems the world is currently at his feet, which is not very far from his hands being so vertically challenged.

  • Boxer Tyson Fury Wants to House LA’s Homeless with Fight Purse

Boxer Tyson Fury Wants to House LA’s Homeless with Fight Purse

It’s a big weekend for heavyweight boxing in the US as current WBC champ Deontay Wilder takes on ‘lineal’ heavyweight champion Tyson Fury at the Staples Center in LA on Saturday night. Controversial boxer Tyson Fury has been making news in the past week as he proposes to give a chunk of his fight purse to help house the homeless.

The braggadocios British boxer who is known as the ‘Gypsy King’ has been battling his own demons over the past 3 years and wants to help some of LA’s most deprived with an act of generosity.

Tyson Fury – From Suicide to Superstar

Tyson Fury has battled with depression and drug abuse and has come back from the brink of suicide to lose 100 pounds over the past year to not just recover but to compete at the highest levels of boxing.

In November 2015, Tyson Fury defeated the heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko in one of the most shocking surprises in boxing history. Klitschko had been undefeated for 10-years and no-one expected the Manchester-born boxer with traveler roots to dethrone the king.

After becoming the four-belt champion, Tyson Fury went off the rails and didn’t fight again until earlier this year. During his layoff, he battled to clear his name as he refused to take a drug test due to his cocaine consumption. The fighter had pretty much lost the will to live and has publicly come out to talk about his battle with drugs, depression and suicidal thoughts.

His battle has been an inspiration to many. You can find out more about his struggle in his recent interview with comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan on the JRE podcast.

Tyson Fury To Tackle LA’s Homeless Situation

Although Tyson Fury has caused much controversy with some foolish comments about homosexuals a few years ago, which were more to do with his religion than anything else, he is a decent man at heart.

While training at LA’s Wild Card Gym for his December 1 clash against the current WBC champ Deontay Wilder, Fury couldn’t believe the extent of homelessness in Los Angeles.

“There are a lot of homeless people on the streets here, more than I’ve ever seen ever in my life. I’m staying in downtown LA but if you go five minutes down the road there’s like – I don’t know – thousands of homeless people. You think you might be in a third world country but it’s a crisis situation and something needs to be done about it.”

Tyson Fury has pledged some of his fight purse to help the homeless in the US, which he has done for the right reason as opposed to a gimmick to promote his fight. It seems the Gypsy King is endearing himself to the American public. All he has to do now is beat Deantay Wilder to be back on top of the world after his 3-year hiatus.

  • Why is David Beckham Getting Trouble For Kissing his Daughter?

Why is David Beckham Getting Trouble For Kissing his Daughter?

Is the world going insane? Most definitely maybe! The most recent example of oversensitivity we are currently seeing attack society is the outrage David Beckham has received for simply kissing his daughter on the lips. Moral outrage is simply going too far!

Since when was it a crime or immoral to kiss your daughter? It seems that the great unwashed far-lefties are up in arms when someone kisses their daughter on the lips. Maybe we won’t be able to touch each other in the future!

Is Comforting Your Kids Now a Crime?

It seems like comforting your kids and showing them affection is now more frowned upon than bombing nations back into the stone ages. Former footballer David Beckham has come under attack for sharing a photo on his Instagram page kissing his 7-year-old daughter Harper Beckham on the mouth while they were ice skating earlier this week.

The post showed the pic of Beckham kissing his daughter on the lips with the wording: “Christmas is coming. Let’s go skate.”

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BqqKjb8nVaw/?utm_source=ig_embed

The post was met with a chorus of disgust online with some critics saying things such as “Why are they kissing?”, “This is not right!”, and “Weird – it’s improper for a parent to kiss their kids in the lips; on the forehead/cheeks is cute though. Why are they kissing on lips ??!?!!”

Fighting Back for David Beckham and his Daughter

It seems that some people’s parent-child relationships amounted to nothing more than a test-tube baby experience. Or the sort of parenting you would expect from a semi-intelligent cyborg.

Are the naysayers jealous? Bored? Lacking warmth? Or Maybe they don’t have kids themselves and had really cold and insensitive parents? It’s hard to tell. However, lots of people did come to support David Beckham.

NFL Quarterback legend Tom Brady had a similar run-in with social media do-gooders earlier this year when he was shown kissing his 10-year-old son. Brady came to the defense of multi-millionaire footballer David Beckham by commenting:

    “Dad and daughter. So sweet!

I am all for protecting society’s most downtrodden people and especially when it comes to protecting children. But it’s a fine line to tell parents they can’t kiss their own kids. Moral outrage is the only thing that is out of control at the moment. We should stand strong with David Beckham against the finger-wagging virtue signalers.

  • Floyd Mayweather Lavish $5 million Spending Spree on Jewelry

Floyd Mayweather Lavish $5 million Spending Spree on Jewelry

How does Floyd Mayweather respond to rumors that his cash flow might not be as solid as once thought? He goes on a spending spree and splashes out over $5 million on flash jewelry in a single session, that’s how.

As Americans have been splashing out big style over the course of Black Friday in the lead up to Christmas, Floyd Mayweather continues to make the news with his lavish purchases.

    Floyd Mayweather Still Ballin’

There is a reason why Floyd is called ‘Money’. He has raked in over $250 million this year alone and is not afraid of spending it on ‘ice’ or other outrageous gifts for himself. As Americans search for the biggest and best deals on items over the Black Friday period, Mayweather doesn’t give a damn about scrimping and saving.

Floyd Mayweather apparently splashed out $5.3 million in a single shopping spree in Los Angeles boutiques on Friday. As the masses searched for the best deals on the latest iPhone X and other goods, Mayweather bought three diamond-encrusted watches and a host of other exotic jewelry pieces.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BqWMtXch7Ui/?utm_source=ig_embed

He is said to have purchased a 30-carat pear-shaped VVS ring for a gargantuan $2.3 million. But he didn’t stop there. The next jaw-dropping purchase was a $2.5 million diamond bracelet. He finished off the spending sprees by buying a 2 lbs. Cuban gold necklace and three watches for a combined total of half a million.

    Mayweather Not Going Broke

We reported just a couple of weeks ago that his former friend, rapper 50-Cent, made backhanded remarks in regards to the financial situation of Floyd Mayweather and his ongoing tax issues. However, as stock and cryptocurrency prices continue to plummet, buying expensive jewelry is a good asset to have in safe keeps.

Rumors were rife that Mayweather was struggling with his cash flow when he announced a strange boxing exhibition with Japanese kickboxer Tensin Nasukawa that is penned in to take place in Japan on New Year’s Eve.

Even though Floyd Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in 2018 with total earnings of $285 million so far this year, that cash was mainly from his 2017 encounter with UFC fighter Conor McGregor.

It is interesting that Forbes listed that Floyd Mayweather has made only $10 million this year in endorsements. That seems like a big figure to some, but not to those who spend $5 million on a single shopping session. It will be interesting to see if Floyd can maintain that type of spending when he does retire.

  • 5 Highest Earning Athletes in 2018

5 Highest Earning Athletes in 2018

As we move towards the end of 2018, it’s always interesting to see who are the highest earners. When it comes to money makers, not many can match athletes and sportspersons. Here are the top 5 highest earning athletes in 2018 so far.

    #5 – Neymar – Yearly Earnings: $90m

Brazilian footballer Neymar is sometimes known more for his girlie haircuts than his football skills. However, he is the 3rd highest earning football player and the 5th highest earning athlete so far in 2018 with $90 million. His five-year contract with PSG at the back-end of 2017 is worth a reported $600 million. His sponsorship contracts with Nike, Beats by Dre, Red Bull, Coca-Cola and Mcdonalds have helped.

    #4 – Conor McGregor – Yearly Earnings: $99m

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g9cyTYISZU

The UFC superstar Conor McGregor has had another fantastic year in terms of earning. So far this year, the MMA demigod has raked in $99 million from his vast array of sponsorship deals with Beats by Dre, Burger King, Monster Energy and many more. The majority of his yearly earnings came from his 2017 fight with Mayweather. Not only is Conor one of the most marketable athletes in the world, but also one of the most notorious!

    #3 – Cristiano Ronaldo – Yearly Earnings: $108m

It’s been another great year for Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of earnings. His move from Real Madrid to Juventus made not only lots of news for the Portugues footballer but also plenty of cash. His lifetime deal with Nike is reported to be worth $1 billion, and with a yearly salary of $61 million, the 33-year old footballer is making as much cash as possible in the last few years of his career.

    #2 – Lionel Messi – Yearly Earnings: $111m

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9u1Uj5CPmg

Barcelona and Argentinean football legend Lionel Messi is the highest paid footballer in the world in terms of salary and combined earnings, making $84 million alone in wages from the Spanish football giants. He made a further $27 million from sponsorships and endorsements for brands such as Pepsi and Gatorade.

    #1 – Floyd Mayweather – Yearly Earnings: $285m

    Mayweather

Although Floyd hasn’t actually fought in 2018 and is supposedly retired, the man known as ‘Money’ certainly lives up to his moniker. Mayweather has raked in a massive $285 million so far in 2018, which is mainly revenue from his fight in August 2017 with Conor McGregor. He only made $10 million from endorsements, so it will be interesting to see how Floyd can keep making the cash he is accustomed to without fighting.

As the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Conor McGregor and Cristiano Ronaldo are now coming towards the end of their careers, who will become the next big stars and highest earning athletes in the world? Anthony Joshua? Canelo Alvarez? They are definitely big shoes to fill.

“$100,000 says I birdie the first hole.”

Woods quickly responded to the challenge with:

    “Double it.”

It’s estimated the side-bets could reach $2 million and are likely to be donated to charity. Both were pictured by Bleacher Report with stacks of cash.

On Twitter the match is drawing criticism, according to RT, with the pair being called “rich snobs” and the millions up for grabs for already wealthy sports celebrities drawing comments like “obscene” and “poor taste.” Others are calling for the winnings to be donated to charity.

Though the Thanksgiving clash has been scheduled to draw attention to the game, the play-off between two of the games seasoned professionals, rather than today’s latest golfing stars, is also criticised. Golf icon Gary Player told The Times:

“Frankly, I don’t think Tiger v Phil is either relevant or cause-related at all. What a lost opportunity for golf.”

“We’ve gone at it for over two decades and we’ve had our moments where there’s either been a regular tour event or major championship where we’ve gone toe-to-toe with each other.”

  • Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo Owns a $2.5 million LaFerrari

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo Owns a $2.5 million LaFerrari

If you can afford to spend $2.5 million on a single vehicle, you deserve it! World-renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo owns a vast array of super-cars, but one of his favorites is his stunning $2.5 million LaFerrari. And it’s not even his most expensive car!

More known for his award-winning football career playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid and now Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo is also making news for his plush selection of high-end super-cars.

    Cristiano Ronaldo Car Collection

In an article by The Sun newspaper that discusses the most expansive cars owned by footballers, it really is an eye-opener to see the current wealth of football’s top-earning players.

Cristiano Ronaldo has a net worth of $450 million and apparently earned $108 million in 2018 alone. His lifetime sponsorship deal with sports giants Nike is believed to be worth in the region $1 billion. Forbes listed Ronaldo as the 10th highest earning athlete in the world in 2018.

With that much dough in the bank, what else are you supposed to do? Buy cars worth in the region of $2.5 billion dollars.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s LaFerrari is a special type of limited edition F150 Ferrari. The hybrid sports car has a 6.3 L F140FE V12 engine with design elements created by Ferrari’s F1 technical director Rory Byrne.

The article also mentioned that the Portuguese footballer also owns a $2.1m Bugatti Veyron, and a $3.2 million Bugatti Chiron.

Cars of Rich and Famous Footballers

Cristiano Ronaldo is not the only footballer who owns stunning multi-million super-cars. Fulham footballer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also owns a $2.5 million LaFerrari.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, also owns a Bugatti Veyron and Bugatti Chiron just like his friend.

Other famous footballers who made the list are David Beckham and his $500,000 Rolls Royce Phantom, Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a Porsche 918 Spyder that is worth approximately $1 million, and former Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o with his $1.8m Aston Martin One-77.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed for Juventus earlier this year becoming Italy’s highest paid footballer with a reported deal worth $350 million over the next four years. Rumors are that Ronaldo took a pay cut to leave Madrid for Juve. Must be rough for him!

Footballers are the modern-day movie stars, but when you take into account the multi-billion television and sponsorship deals, players such as Cristiano Ronaldo generate more than they are paid, so it must be worth it.

  • Bishan Singh Bedi Calls IPL a “Scam”, Questions League Funding Practices

Bishan Singh Bedi Calls IPL a “Scam”, Questions League Funding Practices

Bishan Singh Bedi is a living legend in the cricket community. He went on the record again against the Indian Premier League (IPL). The retired spinner and captain also had some harsh words for the T20 tournament, which he views as a platform for money-laundering.

The world-class spinner told Sahitya Aaj Tak that,

“I don’t want to say anything about IPL. There’s not a bigger scam in India than IPL. Nobody here knows where IPL’s money comes and goes. The second edition of the IPL happened in South Africa, millions of money was taken out of the country without the permission of Finance Minister.”

There are numerous controversies surrounding the Indian cricket elite. Al Jazeera has also aired a documentary the puts the ethics in Indian cricket into serious question.

The broadcaster claims that there was a conspiracy to point-fix international matches, which the International Cricket Council (ICC) is investigating.

Bishan Singh Bedi Raises Tough Questions

Bishan Singh Bedi seems to be well aware of the betting that takes place in the cricket world. He was very critical of the national team selection process, which could be contributing to corruption in the league.

“IPL should not be the basis of Indian selection, local T20 tournaments should be. A team has players who are paid high and ones who get less money. The lower income player doesn’t have the skills, how does he catch up? The only way he sees is betting. I have a lot of experience in cricket, you can tell what is happening in what match. If we stay blind even while seeing, then it’s our choice.”

Al Jazeera’s documentary seems to back-up Bedi’s assertion. They were able to secure footage that shows an illegal bookmaker in India gets 25 out of 26 point ‘fixes’ correct.

The alleged mastermind behind the plot is a man named Aneel Munawar. The footage that Al Jazeera has shows games involving India, England, Australia, and New Zealand, among others.

Munawar speaks to a bookmaker who is allegedly in Ahmedabad immediately before batsmen take to the crease and tells the bookmaker which way to bet before the session.

Clearly, the odds of being correct 25 out of 26 times are very low. Unless of course, there was corruption involved.

    Money and Sexual Favors

Akram Saifi is the former personal assistant to IPL chairman and Congress leader Rajeev Shukla. His career was marred by evidence gathered by The Indian Express, which showed the functionary demanding money and sexual favours as payment for selection in Uttar Pradesh’s under-23 team.

The story broke over the summer, but Akram Saifi is still showing up to T20 matches with an all-access pass around his neck!

A week ago he was spotted at the T20 between India and the West Indies, which was held in the Ekana Cricket Stadium, in Lucknow. He was never officially a part of the IPL, which may be why he has been able to dodge corruption charges.

Vinod Rai, who is the chairman of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators that is running the The Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI), told The Indian Express that,

“Since he (Saifi) was never a BCCI employee but a personal assistant of the IPL chairman, as soon as he was sacked by the IPL chairman, no probe could be done against him.”

This all seems like a very convenient way to engage in corruption, and avoid any consequences. Appoint someone as an assistant, let them do the dirty work, and if their deeds ever come to light, dismiss them before an investigation can make a difference in the league.

Bishan Singh Bedi is probably right that corruption runs rampant in the IPL, but his accusations may not go far enough.

  • Taylor Swift Announces 200 Million Dollar Deal with Republic Records

Taylor Swift Announces 200 Million Dollar Deal with Republic Records

Taylor Swift has joined record label Universal Music Group’s (UMG) subsidiary Republic Records after her 12-year contract with Big Machine Label Group (BMLG) ended in November 2018. According to Forbes, anonymous sources have claimed that the deal might be worth $200 million.

Since Swift had to renew or cancel her contract, some people were expecting that the singer would stay with the Nashville-based record label. Scott Kingsley Swift, financial advisor and Senior VP at Merrill Lynch and Swift’s father, also owns 3% stake in the company.

However, in an Instagram post published yesterday, Swift wrote that she was ‘ecstatic’ to share the news with her fans. She was pictured alongside UMG’s CEO and Chairman, Sir Lucian Grainge, and Republic Records’ founder and CEO, Monte Lipman.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BqXgDJBlz7d/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Swift is not a stranger to UMG, her records have been distributed by BMLG through the former company. But under the new partnership, she will finally own the rights to her master recordings.

How Did UMG get Taylor Swift to Sign the Contract?

Swift has amassed a $320 million net worth and earned the second spot at Forbes’ highest-earning female music singers of 2018. She has also publicly spoken against streaming services that refuse to pay artists properly.

In 2015, Swift wrote an open letter to Apple for not paying royalties to artists when users activated their free trial period. She said she was disappointed because this would negatively impact the earnings of new artists. Following her remarks, Apple Music agreed to change their royalty distribution policy. Later, she announced that her album 1989 would be available on the streaming service.

Swift was, however, less enthusiastic about Spotify. She initially called it an ‘experiment’ and said that artists weren’t paid for their time fairly. It turns out that UMG and Swift were able to agree on one particular point: UMG’s Spotify shares would ‘result in a distribution of money to their artist, non-recoupable’.

Swift said that this will help the music industry and that she will always speak up for artists, producers, and writers. She also thanked BMLG’s Scott Borchetta for signing her when she was 14 years old.

Swift is considerably active on Tumblr and often hides messages and clues in her social media posts as well as her music videos. Based on her Instagram post, where she teased fans with the words ‘B, I, O, I, E’, her fans have concluded that the singer is working on her new album. In Scramble, these words add up to a total of seven points — her next album will be her ‘seventh’ album.

  • Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested Facing Racketeering Charges and Life Imprisonment

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested Facing Racketeering Charges and Life Imprisonment

Renowned rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has been arrested and is currently in Federal custody on racketeering-related charges. The alleged charge is related to his supposed involvement in the July shooting of a bystander and other gang-related issues.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has been loudly beefing with another famous rapper, Curtis ‘50-Cent’ Jackson, over the past week or so, but it seems that back and forth bravado with ‘Fiddy’ is now the least of his woes.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine on RICO Charges

Known just as much for his loud and charismatic persona, rainbow-colored hair and tattoo coverage than for his mic skills, Tekashi 6ix9ine has landed in hot water. The life of rappers seems exclusively tied up with gun violence more than record sales in recent years, and the case of Tekashi 6ix9ine is no different.

Although his hit single “Fefe” with Niki Minaj reached multi-platinum status across the US and hit number-3 in the US charts, the Brooklyn-based rapper could now be facing life in prison.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, known by his mother as Daniel Hernandez, was arrested in New York on Sunday night with five associates in relation to a gang-related racketeering charge, which has been linked into an incident in July where an innocent person was accidentally shot. The incident was allegedly between 6ix9ine and his boys against a rival gang.

All four men now face firearms and racketeering charges and are currently locked up in federal custody.

    What Happened to Tekashi 6ix9ine?

Why is controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine facing racketeering charges for allegedly being involved in a shooting? Apparently, it runs much deeper as you would expect from an alleged RICO charge.

The charges relate to Tekashi 6ix9ine allegedly operating and managing a gang that was involved in all manner of crimes from assault and robbery to drug dealing and murder.

An eight-count indictment has been issued that involves the rapper and his supposed gang. The indictment says that Hernandez and his associates “participated in the operation and management of” their alleged Nine Trey Gangsta Blood gang.

The charges relate to the aforementioned incident in July and another robbery incident in April supposedly involving his crew. Breaking down the indictment, two of the charges have a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, so at this moment, it’s not looking good for the rapper.

Hernandez already had a myriad of cases and charges against his name, such as the alleged choking of a 16-year old in Houston last January. It seems that Tekashi 6ix9ine is not a plastic gangster with a fake image. It seems he is very real. It might cost him his freedom for the rest of his life.
